Bogdan Cafengiu
Bogdan Cafengiu has been practising family law since graduating in 2004 from Queen’s University Law School. He completed his undergraduate Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political science at University of Waterloo, with a double minor in Philosophy and Psychology. In his spare time, Mr. Cafengiu enjoys staying active and spending time with his family.

Alexander Toolsie
Alexander founded the family law practice in 2014, after having practiced for several years in Brisbane, Australia, where he had graduated from University of Queensland in 2003. His earlier Bachelors degree in Peace and Conflict Studies was obtained from the University of Waterloo in 2000. After hanging up his Gold Coast diving gear, he returned to the K-W region to engage participate in the close-knit legal community until his too early passing in October 2020.

Jagdat Vincent Toolsie
Jagdat Vincent offered broad legal services for nearly 25 years to clients in the K-W region after graduating from University of Western Ontario in 1969. A graduate of Waterloo University (now Wilfrid Laurier University), prior to practising law, he taught high school in Sudbury and in Espanola Ontario, just as he had in his native Guyana before immigrating to Canada and then pursuing law. He left a legacy after his passing in 2007, rooted in a love of the law and fearless advocacy.

Bridgette Gagnon ⋅ Law Clerk
Bridgette graduated from the Office Administration – Legal program at Conestoga College in 2016 with High Distinction. She was awarded the Sorbara Law Legal Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. Bridgette worked for the past six years as law clerk to the late Alex Toolsie with a focus on Family Law, and then to Melanie Toolsie in support of Family, Wills, Estates and Civil matters. She now supports the law practice of Mr. Bogdan Cafengiu.
